Boudoir means “bedroom” in French. Boudoir photography is intimate, flirty, sensual and romantic portraits. L Boudoir’s philosophy is centered around taking all of these things and pulling them out of your personality to create images that represent your best sexy side… and not necessarily in the bedroom…

No, I only photograph Boudoir for women. Sorry guys!

The best thing to do is call 719-930-4185 or write charlotte@lboudoir.com, to set up a pre-consultation with Charlotte. The consultation will take around 20-30 minutes. During the consultation we can discuss in detail all of your ideas and my ideas to prepare you for your session. At this time we can coordinate schedules to get you booked. To book your session I will need the sitting fee in full, or a 50% retainer for any larger packages, as well as a signed contract. Retainers are non-refundable. The remainder of your package amount is due on the day of the session.

LBoudoir’s studio is in Old Colorado City in Colorado Springs.

However, want to capture these images in your own bedroom or a fancy hotel or even outdoors at a secret location (how exciting!). Please let me know if you are interested in this and we can discuss the possibilities. I do have a couple of local hotels that work great for boudoir photography.

I absolutely encourage liquid courage…lol! I can provide a glass or two of champagne or wine at your arrival to help with the nerves, but if you think it will help you relax more to have a “couple more”, please feel free to bring your own beverage of choice. I only ask that if you consume more than 2 drinks you make arrangements for a friend or family member to pick you up from the studio.

Tanning a couple of times before your session is fine, but over tanning can make your skin too dark and uneven. Also, be conscious of tan lines. All photos will be retouched, but removing tan lines can delay the photo processing a lot and if the tan lines are too dark, it could be something that can’t be retouched at all.

I am absolutely fine with a friend coming with! I actually encourage you to talk your friend into booking a boudoir session that day as well. Sometimes it’s a lot more fun when friends are involved too!!!

It is very common for women to feel a little nervous about the session, and don’t worry, it’s completely normal. You will be raving about how much fun you had by the end, I promise! The studios are very private and I will be only one present (besides the makeup artist, if included in your package) for the entire shoot. When you first arrive, we will spend a good amount of time, just chatting and hanging out. You will start hair and makeup at this time, if you’ve included it in your package. I will show you some of my fabulous products and samples of the album you will get with your package. I also use this time to really dive into learning about “you” and why you chose to do this session, etc… Next we’ll move onto sorting through all the stuff you brought and picking out your absolute favorite looks. I will look at all your items and formulate a plan to coordinate all your looks with my backgrounds. Once we have all the wardrobe lined up, we slowly ease into the session. Depending on the number of looks you have included in your package your session could range anywhere from 1.5-4 hours. Keep in mind hair and makeup will also take an additional hour.

I believe there is an authentic and honest beauty to every woman who walks into my studio. Regardless of how you feel before you walk in, I promise you will feel 100% sexy by the time you walk out! And when you see the photos… well, you should hear what the ladies have to say about their portraits (the link’s at the top of the page).

During your session I will be guiding to get the most flattering angles and poses for your individual body type. I’ll also take care of the small stuff from the cosmetic to the cellulite and minimizing any other areas you feel self-conscious about. So really don’t stress yourself out about it, you are going to look amazing when I’m done with you!

I have silk wraps, hats, scarves and a few props (chairs, rose petals, guitar, pillows) that can be used for your session, but I encourage you to bring your own wardrobe and props. During your phone consultation we will spin ideas to get your thoughts flowing on different possibilities to make your session sexy and unique. I typically tell ladies to bring an entire suitcase if they want to, that way we have lots of options! Here are a few ideas on popular wardrobe and props:

• Those “booty ” jeans or pants your “significant other” goes gaga over!
• Leather jackets or tops that can open up to show some cleavage.
• Lingerie… all types, just bring what you feel the sexiest in and we’ll go through everything.
• Boy shorts panties.
• Corsets (Yes, mistress?).
• Fishnet or thigh high stockings.
• Short skirts.
• Sports related, work related or personal interest wardrobe or props (military uniform, sports jersey, fireman’s jacket, work shirt, tie, footballs, guns, guitars, snowboards, surfboards, helmets, roller-skates).
• Jewelry, stilettos, boots, gloves and hats are always fun accessories to add to shots (you wouldn’t believe how versatile a really long pearl necklace can be).
• Also, I do have wraps, but please feel free to bring a robe from home to wear in between wardrobe changes, etc…..

 

This is entirely up to your comfort level. I do shoot fine art nudity for most gals, but it is not at all necessary to capture great intimate photos. Sometimes leaving more to the imagination can send a photo into the “sexy-stratosphere”. If doing nude photos is something you are considering, we will chat about this before we start the shoot and save the nude ones for the end (when you’re warmed up!).

Your photos will be available for viewing within 4-8 weeks of your session date depending on the time of year. You will be emailed a password to a private online gallery to view your photos in the privacy of your own home. Once you have viewed your photos, it is up to you to choose the number of photos appropriate to the package you purchased. So for example: if you chose the “Peak a Boo” package, you will choose your 10 favorite photos you want in the album There is a section within your online gallery to create your favorite folders or type out the numbers you would like in an email and send it to me. Once I have received your list for your album, I’ll get to work. If you purchase digital files, they will be mailed out and should take no more than 2 weeks to receive. Your album does take 3 weeks to be completed and then another few days for shipping, it should take no longer than 4 weeks to receive all of your product.

You can purchase individual prints through the website, but if you would like to upgrade your album pages or purchase additional digital files, please contact me to do this. Prints ordered off of the website take around 2 weeks to receive.

I never use anyone’s photos on my website or blog without written permission, and you can rescind that permission at any time. If I use them publicly, I always use lower resolution watermarked images.

If you don’t allow me to use your photos they are private only to you and whomever you share them with.

The photos you will look at through your online gallery can only be accessed with the password you will be given by me.

I do offer album page and size upgrades, prints ranging from wallets to 8×10’s and gorgeous wall portraits. The most popular wall portrait would be my canvas gallery wraps, which is one of the best ways to show off that stunning “fine art bod” in your home. I also can do calendars, however it’s not a product I officially offer, but if you’re interested just let me know.

Yes, I do boudoir parties for 4-8 women. The cost per package is nicely discounted, so if this is something you are interested in organizing, or check out my investment page for pricing.

Once you have paid your session fee or retainer, it is non-refundable. However, I am very flexible and do realize that life happens, so if you need to reschedule or move around times, please let me know as soon as possible.

At the time of booking you will be required to provide a credit card to keep on file and signed contract. The contract will state that any no-show will be charged the remaining balance on the account.
